Website clearly states, 3 days to produce single vision. After waiting 10 business days I called to find out why I haven't received final production notification. They respond one of the coatings increases it to 6 days production time, I asked why it wasn't done after 10 days then. They couldn't tell me. It has now been 14 business days and I just received notice they finally made them, and that I need to wait at least another week!?
Horrendous customer service, false advertisement, and bold faced lying to customers. Why would anyone shop here? Only if your dazzled by a deceitful website and haven't noticed the thousands of people complaining about the poor service of this company.
We ordered glasses at Glassesusa.com for my son. We uploaded his prescription but they decided to call the doctor and some how got my prescription instead. It took almost 3 times as long to get the glasses instead of the 10 days they advertise. Once we received them my son instantly realized they where the wrong RX.
We emailed them right away but it took several days before we got a response from customer service. They told us to complete a return request. They told us not to bother to return the glasses as they would not use them. We waited another couple of weeks and no glasses. So we called again and the customer service could not find any record of our previous issue. They also said they could not process the new order without the old set of glasses returned (which is NOT what they said the first time).
I had enough and said I wanted a refund but they then told me it was over 30 days so no refund which is silly. I ended up cutting ties with them and ordering my sons glasses from Frames Direct which we did not have ANY issues with.
Also it would have helped if when you log into your account on Glassesusa.com they would display your order information and tracking info. You need the extra step of needing to know your order number to access it which is just another step. Frames Direct lists your orders on your account without this problem.
Overall the glasses are good from Glasses USA and the prices but I have a real issue with customer service and returns.
I ordered 2 pairs of glasses, 1 for distance and 1 for reading. The frames are the same but I had chosen a different color of frame for the reading glasses so I could easily tell them a part. I placed my order and received it the following week. The prescription of the glasses was correct but I ended up with the same frame color. One should have been blue and the other one green.
I returned my reading glasses and asked to put the original lenses into the correct green frames. It took weeks for GlassesUSA to reply and confirm the frames I wanted. I replied with what I had said in my email and filled out the return form. A few more weeks go by and they said their was a mistake as they don't have that frame color anymore. I told them to just return my reading glasses as is in the original frames as having both frames the same color is not the end of the world.
In a week I get an email saying they are making my glasses and are almost done. Okay I though this is a little weird as they should just be mailing back my glasses. I waited a bit more and finally got my glasses back but they sent a pair for distance and not my reading ones. I called several times explaining the issue and finally got an email from the returns department saying I can't return them as it is beyond the 14-day return period as per their return policy.
Grrrr... I am sure disappointed as now I am stuck with 2 identical pairs of glasses and not the reading ones I needed. At this point I don't think it is worth fighting over as customer service seems to have real problems understanding instructions.
The glasses I did get are fine and look good but the one pair is not what I originally ordered. If by chance you have to deal with GlassesUSA returns department I wouldn't bother.

I am 33 now but I have had glasses since I was 5 years old and have always hated how they looked on my face. I am pretty blind and have a strong prescription and as soon as I could I switched to wearing contacts in my teens.
I got my new pair of glasses from GlassesUSA last week and have been wearing them ever since. They are my first pair of new glasses in about 4 years and I love them. The frames I picked out are super light and not heavy like the old pair I have which use to hurt behind my ears after a while. The selection they have is huge but it is so easy to find the types you like by being able to select certain frame shape, types and colors. Once I had narrowed down my selection I went by the measurements and reviews other customers had written about the frames I was looking at.
This is the first time I used Glasses USA. I took a long time and looked at several different eye glasses store both online and off and in the end I choose Glasses USA because they were the only ones that had the frames I wanted. I am pretty picky when it comes to the style of frames I wanted and Glasses USA has the best selection that I could find. I was a little disappointed in the cost as the discount was for the frames only and did not include the lenses. The price was still good but the other store which I used previously discounted my entire order.
All in all I was happy with my purchase as the frames are high quality and the lenses anti scratch coating works well. I found this out the hard way as on the second day of wearing them my glasses got knocked off my face from a ball my son had thrown.
