In 2 orders I have bought 3 pairs of glasses from Frames Direct. The prices ranged from $150 to $350. After each order on their website I received a call from Frames Direct confirming the order and my prescription.

For all pairs of glasses, I received them in 4 weeks. I got email notifications when they were made, when shipped and when out for delivery.

Frames Direct has a large selection for frames, regular and for sun. They have decent prices and always have some type of promotion going on. My only complaint is like other eye glasses retailers they only advertise the price of the frames and do not include the cost of the lenses in the advertisements.

I bought a pair of bifocals on Frames Direct and didn't have any problems. Glasses look exactly how they did on the webpage and they fit very well. Shipping was very quick as well. This was my test purchase to make sure everything went fine. 

I now plan to buy my sunglasses from them as well. They have a really good selection of Prada frames that are much less expensive than I can find at the Mall.

I was looking for 2 pairs of sunglasses at discount prices and I found Framesdirect. I found the 2 exact styles I was looking for at prices which was better than I found elsewhere either online or at a store.

I was also very glad to see  that the glasses came with the name brand cases that fit the glasses perfectly. I hear some online places don't include those to lower their prices.

When I got my sunglasses I was glad to see they fit very well. I will be ordering from them again in the future.

International customers make sure you review the Frames Direct shipping FAQ first or you will be most likely stuck with additional costs!!!!

I figured I would get a much better deal if I shopped online for my eyeglasses.  The frames are a good price but I found the lenses coating a bit more expensive at $27.50. Plus I am purchasing from Canada so I have to deal with the dollar conversion as well which is not in my favour. I did the calculation and found it was still cheaper for me to buy at Frames Direct, or so I thought...

Once I place the order and paid I then noticed in small print at the bottom of the page highlighted in red was additional information about shipping. Shipping was going to cost me over $70 USD!!! Well now the glasses are going to cost me about the same as my local optical store. So in the end I let the order continue and didn't call Customer Service to cancel.

Well that was a mistake. My glasses order then got stuck at customs. I had to pay an additional $100 at customs to get my order over the border. I was so upset that I wasn't told about this before hand. They really need to let international customers know what the potential costs are before ordering as it is NOT WORTH IT!

I usually have good luck ordering from Frames Direct but the last month I ordered a new pair of progressives and some sunglasses and it took me forever to search for a pair of sunglasses because the frames where either sold out or discontinued. I am not sure why the frames are listed on the site when discontinued. Out of stock items should list an expected date of when they will have stock.

Also I am not happy that the Frames Direct shipper requires a signature for delivery. This should be an option only like other companies I have bought from since I am never home when the truck comes by with my package. Customer service told me that they would try delivery 3 times and then held for pickup for 5 days.

All in all I still had both pairs of glasses in my hands by day 15.

I really do like the selection they have, I just wished their was less discontinued items.
