How Does it Work
To start a workout step onto the elliptical trainer pedals and then to turn on the Pro 16.9 console just touch the screen or press any button. The menu will then appear on the screen after the console boots up. To start in manual mode either hit start or just start pedaling. You then can change your resistant levels and the level of the ramp by either hitting the increase and decrease buttons or the numbered quick buttons.
To start a built in workout program you press the "Runner" button on the bottom of the touchscreen and the list of workout categories will appear. Select the category you want (for a shortcut press one of the 3 category quick buttons on the console) and a list of related workout programs will appear (35 in all) along with program information like duration and calorie burn expected. Once you find the workout you want you can then select it and your workout will start.
Once a workout starts you will see that the duration of the workout is split up into segments. Each segment is an equal piece of time and represents a certain resistance, ramp incline, and target speed (cadence). The current segment you are on during your workout will flash. If you don't stay within your target speed range for the particular workout segment you are on, the Target Zone meter will light up indicating to you either to increase or decrease your speed. Resistance and incline can be manually overridden by using the available controls and will stay the same until you touch the "Follow Workout" button.
To use iFit on your ProForm elliptical you must have already created an account on iFit.com and created your user profile. You will also need to add one or more workouts to your schedule. At this point you can then login to iFit on your Pro 16.9 Elliptical using the same username and password. From there you can then download the workout and loose weight programs you want.
