With web hosting, management usually deals with Virtual Private Servers and Dedicated Servers. There are usually 3 levels: Fully Managed, Partial Managed, and Self-Managed. It refers to the amount of control the person wants over the web server. Fully-Managed servers usually means that the web hosting service takes care of all operating system patches, updates to installed software, and backups.
