I do not think you will find a better website to search for your family history here in the United States. I was able to trace my family tree back 4 generations and find relations in my own town that I never knew I had.

There are a few small changes to the interface I would change on the site but overall I would give Ancestry a high recommendation.

Pros

Lots of information on my family history. Easy to find.

Bottom Line

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I have to agree with you. I tried Ancestry about 2 years ago when I was researching my family tree. I used it extensively for about 3 months and hardly have a complaint about it. Lots of information and it surprised me what I found.
