HelloFresh

The quality of the ingredients is the most important part of these type of services and Hello Fresh meets my standards. I've always received fresh veggies and meats and have enjoyed almost all of the recipes. I work from home as a graphic artist so my boxes don't have a chance to be outside long. I do go out for work to meet with clients occasionally so I always schedule what day my delivery comes and plan accordingly. 

After my first box which was discounted I knew I'd be charged for subsequent boxes unless I paused a week or if I called to cancel the service completely. This is pretty standard for meal services after researching the others available in my area.

As I said above I've loved most of my meals, the ones I did not was really just personal preference and not because the recipe was not good since my husband seemed to like them. 

Currently our kitchen is being renovated which is suppose to last about a month so we have our Hello Fresh account on hold. As soon as the kitchen is done I plan to continue with Hello Fresh. We are currently eating out a lot because of the renos and have already gained some weight. I am already missing the healthy meals and the variety we have been cooking at home. I've dealt with Hello Freshes customer service once to pause the account and am pleased with their friendly manner and understanding.

I am on the third month of my Hello Fresh subscription. I enjoy most aspects of the service. The deliveries have been on time and the food has always been fresh. The portions are good and eating meals this way is much healthier for me than eating out all the time. Plus, it is fun trying out new recipes. 

Recently I notice that I have not been as happy with some of the recipes. While not exactly the same the meals, do seem to be repeating some what. I feel like I have been having to much chicken lately. I should probably log into the website and update my taste selection to increase the variety of meals.

All in all if you are thinking of trying out Hello Fresh, I do recommend it.

My family and I am enjoying both the meat and vegetarian dinner options that hello fresh has. It has been great to be eating healthier and not relying on take out so much. I work shift work and my 2 kids play a lot of sports so I am always in a rush to get dinner ready. With hello fresh I know the dinner selection will always be good and I can have it ready usually in just over 30 minutes so I don't worry what they send me. 

It's nice to have a home cook meal with recipes and instructions that are really simple to follow. My grocery shopping time has been cut in half as I just worry about breakfast and lunches for the most part now.

We have enjoyed the Hello Fresh service over the last 3 months. A few things could be improved though to give it a full 5 star rating.

What we do enjoy is the vegetarian meals. We are not full vegetarians but we choose at least 1 a week for our box of 3 meals.  I do not know the first thing about putting a vegetarian meal together so this has been a real time saver. It has also helped us stay healthy and keep the cholesterol down which was becoming a problem.  It's also great not to think about what to cook for dinner, even my husband is getting into cooking now and he has never cooked in our 20 years of marriage. 

The one thing I would improve is the delivery times. Sometimes it comes later at night when we are in bed. I much rather come before 5pm. I have called about it and apparently it is the shipper who delivers to us.  We are on the far end of their route so that is why the shipment is late. Hello Fresh did say they will look into this and possibly try a different shipper.

I was given Hello Fresh as a gift a few months ago and I have enjoyed it ever since. My girlfriend and I get a box every week with 3 dinners. Our first month after the gift card ran out we got $40 off which was an added bonus. Meals take us usually 45 minutes to prepare and not the 30 Hello Fresh seems to suggest but that is okay as both of us prep and cook the meals as it is a time we enjoy together.

The ingredients have always been fresh and I like the balance Hello Fresh has of meat and vegetables. So far all the recipes have been good and not to hard to make for our level of cooking skill which I say is average. The box always arrives on time which our doorman receives and puts aside for us. All in all it is a good service and those interested in trying out new recipes every week will enjoy it.
