I recently purchased a domain from Godaddy and needed hosting so I went with them as well since they offered me a decent deal. It took me a while to get the website going as I had to read tutorials on how to do everything. I wished Godaddy organizes their tutorials and other articles better so I could find the information I needed easier. Everything is pretty complex for a newbie including the control panel and I was overwhelmed at first. It took about 2 weeks working nightly on it to slowly get the hang of things. My wordpress website has been online for about 4 months now and I am constantly improving it now.
This is my first experience with a web host. I have no real comparisons but so far things have worked out and I have no real complaints.

Website has always been up with no downtime.
Cons
Godaddy tutorials on website development could be organized better.
